About me

I am an Amsterdam based freelance developer, specialized in Flash and Unity development. Since 2004 I am active as a professional Flash developer and worked on many campaigns that contain a high dose of experience. For a period of 5 years I have been able to put this in practice while being employed as the technical lead at an online marketing agency. Late 2008 I got in touch with Unity development for serious games; since then this has become part of my professional toolbox.

Since 2009 I am working as an independent developer and ran projects individually or worked with existing teams. My latest projects vary from Flash campaigns, Flex applications, corporate HTML/jQuery/PHP websites, Flash and Unity games, interactive installations and Android applications.

My main client base exists of local companies from The Netherlands, but also contains a fair amount of international companies where I worked with people from all over the world.

Standards for the quality of my work are high. I aim at creating remarkable creative experiences and have high coding standards. I am aware that my presence as a freelance developer is temporary and my work should be in good condition in order to be transferable to an internal team or a different freelance developer at a later stage when I am not available.

I am also proud to be the author of Papervision3D Essentials, written together with Jeff Winder. Packt Publishing published this book in September 2009.

This blog is mainly being used for sharing my knowledge with other developers. Most of that is related to projects I have worked on, but this blog serves by no means as a portfolio. In case you are interested seeing some of my commercial work, please get in touch.
